Einige davon hab ich auch genau so erlebt:

Half-Life (PC)
First level, in the test chamber, everything starts to go wrong, then the whole room starts to explode. Then, silence and blackouts… When I first saw this, I completely froze and felt unable to do anything for a few seconds – the only time this has ever happened to me in a game.

Unreal (PC)
The bit where you walk down a corridor to collect something, throw a switch and start making your way back, only to find your passage blocked and one by one, the lights along the corridor going out. And then a baddie gets released behind you...

Tomb Raider (Saturn)
The original was like nothing seen before. On the second level after the waterfall, I'd just managed to kill a pack of velociraptors and the ground started to shake. When the T-Rex lumbered round the corner, I dropped my joypad in sheer fright, and Lara was eaten. Brilliant.

Alien v Predator (Jaguar)
Borrowed a friend's Jag and played AvP all night. Thought I was good and couldn't get scared. Walked into a new room. Alien screams, I jump. Predator whispers and decloaks. I jump more. Compose myself and kill them. Walk out of the room and facehugger jumps on me. I really screamed.

a few years ago i saw 'donnie darko' and was impressed by how unique and idiosyncratic and futuristic and well executed it was.

so when richard kelly (the 'donnie darko' director and writer) approached me to be involved in his new movie, 'southland tales', i jumped at the chance, as i was such a fan of 'donnie darko'.

i normally say 'no' to most outside projects because i'm too busy working on my own things, but i have to say that i'm really thrilled and excited to be working on the music for richard kelly's new film, 'southland tales'.

Den IMDB-Usern geht`s ähnlich wie mir - "Down" ist ein wirklich super-trashiger Film und trotzdem macht`s Spaß dem Killer-Aufzug bei seinem blutigen Treiben zuzugucken. Das liegt nicht gerade an den schauspielerischen Fähigkeiten von Naomi Watts (von der ich weit besseres gewöhnt bin) oder an der innovativen Story, sondern einfach daran, dass sich der Film selbst nicht allzu ernst nimmt und somit gleichzeitig eine Persiflage auf das "Elevator Kills People"-Genre ist.

Dem aktuellen HomeVision-Magazin liegt die DVD übrigens für 4,90 Euro bei. Ansonsten gibt`s die DVD bei Amazon inkl. engl. Sprachfassung und ein paar weiteren Features für 8,99 Euro:

Eigentlich hab ich ja genug von schlechten Horror-Remakes - aber das Remake von "The Hills have eyes" könnte wirklich was werden. Nicht zuletzt, weil der Regisseur Alexandre Aja mit "High Tension" schon einen Überraschungshit gelandet hat.

Kleines Interview-Snippet:

With no commercial funding, due to its controversial and realistic views, the film was shot guerrilla style for three and a half thousand pounds. A very rare concept now days, culture from the street for the street, which has now generated critical acclaim!!



Der Trailer sieht für 3.500 Pfund jedenfalls schon verdammt gut aus!

Normalerweise würde ich nie auf die Idee kommen mir eine "romantische Agentenkomödie" im Kino anschauen - aber die gute Frau Jolie schafft`s dann doch noch einen vom Gegenteil zu überzeugen:
